As a Telecommunications Technician, you will play a key role in analyzing and supporting complex local and wide area network systems to ensure optimal operation and integration. You will:
Analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and configuring operating systems and protocol suites for virtualized and containerized systems.
Resolve difficult interoperability problems to ensure seamless operation across host, hypervisor, and guest nodes.
Load and configure cloud servers and vendor (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) or white box routers and switches.
Support the acquisition of hardware, software, and subcontractor services.
Act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership to junior team members, as needed.
8 years of experience providing technical support for the engineering and testing of complex software and hardware systems in the communication field.
Experience with network planning for telecommunications switches.
Experience conducting integration and system-level testing for telecommunications systems or platforms.
Proficiency with Kubernetes, VMWare, QEMU, KVM, or Docker.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking equipment.
Proficiency with Linux or OpenStack.
Knowledge Base:
Telephony and telecommunications principles.
Networking services and software-defined networking (SDN).
Certifications:
Cisco CCNA or equivalent (preferred).
RHCSA (preferred).
Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
Salary Range: $125,000 - $170,000
