WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a UI/Front-End Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming our customer's products to fully leverage modern UI frameworks and technologies. Get ready to spearhead our front-end development initiatives and drive future innovations:

  • Utilize your strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model, to create interactive and high-performance applications.
  • Leverage your thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles to build and maintain dynamic user interfaces.
  • Implement popular React.js workflows and integrate with RESTful APIs to enhance application functionality.
  • Ensure 508-Compliance across applications, adhering to newer specifications for accessibility.
  • Utilize HTML5 UI frameworks to create responsive and engaging user experiences.
  • Apply your knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, to secure applications.
  • Utilize modern front-end build pipelines and tools to streamline development processes.
  • Demonstrate ability in troubleshooting existing JavaScript scripts, and assist developers in reviewing code for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Employ proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to design and develop functional user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with the development team to translate design mock-ups into functional features.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance overall code quality.
  • Debug and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Customize UI for mission/site needs, troubleshooting, and testing to meet specific requirements.
  • Prepare and edit technical documentation to support development efforts.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of UI development and design experience.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated use of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React, with familiarity in integrating backend services.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms, like JSON Web Token.
  • Demonstrated ability in customizing UI for mission/site needs, troubleshooting, and testing.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines, tools, and UI design concepts.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and collaborate effectively. 
 
Salary Range: $105,000 - $175,000
 
The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
