BlueHalo is seeking a Control Systems Engineer with a diverse set of hardware control and software interface experience to join our team working at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) in Dayton, OH.
The Control Systems Engineer will analyze and solve automation equipment challenges to provide effective control system for a variety of new and existing lab equipment. The successful candidate will understand, maintain and troubleshoot control systems, including PLC controllers and industrial networks such as motor control systems, HV power supplies, variable frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. This position requires the ability to consider equipment reliability and maintain safe interface with equipment such as lasers, vacuum system, and motion control systems. As member of a small, focused team the candidate will be a technical consultant for system control projects inside the building. For many projects this will include training users in system operational procedures, control interfaces, and documentation access. The control systems engineer must work with safety officers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and organization policies.
