UES, a BlueHalo Company has an opportunity available for a research scientist/engineer to join our team working with the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. This role will be responsible for supporting and leading projects related to designing and implementing systems that can enable the brain-machine interface through neural recordings. This role will also serve as a technical interface with academic and industrial partners for related projects
The candidate will be responsible for optimizing hardware and/or software for neural recordings. The work will be both laboratory-based (i.e., prototyping, testing, and evaluation) and clinically-based, working closely with clinical research coordinators and data scientists to obtain and analyze neural recordings of human subjects using cutting-edge neural recording devices. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background coupled with a desire to learn multiple aspects of novel sensor design and implementation. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and build/leverage scientific partnerships.
