In this role, you will be integral to our software development team, working on innovative and crucial projects from concept to prototype.

 

You will:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
• Utilize software development methodologies to build and conduct simulations in test and development environments.
• Provide input to system design, considering hardware/software trade-offs and the feasibility of using commercial or government off-the-shelf products.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate software system performance.
• Work independently and collaborate effectively within a small team to meet project goals.
• Be part of a two-member team, consisting of a software engineer and a systems engineer, working collaboratively with a larger group.
• Support a work environment that supports emerging challenges, encouraging innovation in developing and finalizing prototypes.
• Will be comfortable working independently and possess the resilience to handle complex interactions with an easy-going but technically less adept systems engineer.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope, type, and complexity. Four (4) additional years of experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Git, and GitLab.
• Desired skills include experience with Camel and C2S environments.
