Eqlipse Technologies is currently seeking a Software Engineering Tech Lead for a new opening! As a member of the Eqlipse team your work will align the most innovative solutions to evolve and transform how our customers accomplish their most complex challenges.


Eqlipse has a Prime opening that is looking for a professional to take the lead on a small but experienced team of software engineers. In this role you will be utilizing your knowledge and experience with COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) and GOTS (Government off-the-shelf) to create a new application while also understanding the balancing act of what software and hardware interaction looks like. The role will require someone that is adaptable, who is capable of working independently, but then also able to change tracks to make sure that their team is motivated, collaborating and meeting goals to ensure all software requirements are met.


Additional Information:

  • 2 team members made up of a software and a system engineer working in conjunction with a larger team.
  • Telework available.
  • Work performed in contractor facility in Annapolis Junction.
  • Both low and high side access.


Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.  

  • Expert experience of Java SE 7 technologies and APIs.
  • Intermediate experience with JavaScript and JavaScript Libraries including React JS, jQuery, and ExtJS.
  • Intermediate experience developing enterprise solutions with Java EE and related technologies such as persistence frameworks, build tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools (Git, Maven, Eclipse, or SVN).
  • Intermediate experience with open-source utility tools that automate the management and function of programs inside software containers such as: Docker, LXC, rkt, Podman or containered.
  • Intermediate experience of WebServices and XML/JSON.
  • Basic experience with Spring MVC.
  • Proficient in Linux.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience in Cloud/Big Data (Batch and Streaming Analytics).
  • Knowledgeable with C/C++, Node.js, React.js, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or NiFi.
  • Experience in Cloud/Big Data (Batch and Streaming Analytics).
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with MongoDB.
  • Experience with Virtualized Platforms.
  • Familiar with CNO/CND/Reverse Engineering/Mobile Development a plus.
