OVERVIEW

 

Eqlipse is seeking a proven Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE). In the new role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of our organization's information systems. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and information systems, as well as identifying and mitigating potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Security Infrastructure Design: Design and implement security infrastructure solutions to protect the organization's information systems, including networks, servers, applications, and data repositories.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Security Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Incident Response: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures, and lead investigations into security incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Security Monitoring and Analysis: Implement and maintain security monitoring tools and systems to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
  • Security Compliance Audits: Conduct regular security compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Security Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of security policies, procedures, and incidents, and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Security Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new security technologies and solutions and make recommendations for their implementation based on organizational needs and industry trends.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4 years of applicable experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles, best practices, and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Proficiency in security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, encryption, and SIEM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
