The System Administrator will be responsible for infrastructure and system management of a new SCIF build, accommodating 100 users. The candidate will have a strong understanding of desktop operating systems, facility and resource management, and provide excellent customer service. The System Administrator will work closely with the Program Manager, CSSO, ISSO and Operations support staff to ensure all program and security requirements are met.

A typical day in the life may include:

• Own and maintain servers, desktops, and phone system on different network infrastructures for over 100 users
• Server infrastructure development, quality assurance, staging and production of systems
• Implement and manage VPN, firewalls and anti-malware solution for network security
• Configure Firewall for network connection to outside networks, to support mission critical users
• Test network performance and create strategies to maintain integrity of overall infrastructure for continuous uptime for users
• Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for other system admins to use
• Provide on-call support for emergencies and outages of network and infrastructure to consistently provide availability to support mission critical systems
• Respond to user requests and provide immediate support for mission critical issues
• Manage purchase orders and configuration of hardware, devices and software to set up work stations for over 100 users
• Conducts and maintains inventory/asset control
• Assess system hardware and software integrity by performing stress tests to identify areas of enhancements
• Implement enhancements to remove vulnerabilities and improve the overall integrity of the system and minimized outages
• Enhance security protocols by patching software and installing appropriate update for system hardening

1. Bachelor's Degree and 4 to 10 years, Degree commensurate with experience
2. Develops Scripting and supports other complex tasks of development.
3. Security+ certified (or willing and able to obtain the certification within 2 months of acceptance.)
